Technical Support Engineer
Based in Oscura's Reading office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for customer technical support calls and e-mail requests
- On-site technical support
- Talking Oscura customers through problem solution (by telephone and in person)
- Installation and configuration of computer systems
- Troubleshooting system and network problems
- Hardware and software application support
- Website maintenance
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in an IT job
Required Skills:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Excellent Microsoft Office (including Access)
- Web browsers
- E-Mail Clients
- Web page development (HTML)
- Basic networking skills
The following skills would be an advantage:
- Microsoft Exchange and Small Business Server
- Linux operating systems
- Firewalls and network security and VPNs
- Web programming development (ASP/PHP)
- Knowledge of Web Servers (IIS/Apache)
- Database Servers (Microsoft SQL/MySQL)
- Windows Application Development (VB/.NET)
Working hours and benefits:
- 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Additional out of hours telephone support (hourly rate)
- £20,000 per annum
- 20 days annual holiday
General Accounts Assistant
Bosco Ltd, Oscura's sister company have a need for a General Accounts Assistant.
20 hours per week over 5 days (flexible).
Some general accounts experience is required.
Duties to include:
- Inputting on Sage accounts system
- Bank reconciliations
- Raising and sending statements
- Answering telephones
- Filing
- Plus other ad hoc duties as required
